Client connection hang at around 80%

I have manage to connect, choose a realm, a character connect to the wold then at 80%, my progress bar stop.

On the server nothing fancy , quite strange :

I have tryed with uk client, and still have the same problem. I do manage to connect with it to an official server, so I suspect the problem is not on the client. regarding the server I have no errors when launching the 2 exe.

So I am stuck, I do not know where to look for.

I suspect it is linked to rbac security, any suggestions please ?

I suggest you to drop your databases totally and update to head, because the stuck thing was fixed few days ago.

I follow your suggestion but I am stuck with the password as I was entering a wrong password:

I am using bnet account create (or set password) then account set password

everything seems fine

but I have allways this erreur 104 => wrongpassword

in the log it says ok then ko

I have the same symptoms: can login and create a character, but then I get stuck at 80% while connecting. My WoW client version is 6.1.0.19702.

This is a fresh installation on OS X from the latest rev 8464674 of the 6.x branch with a clean sql db import. I followed the installation guide to the letter.

I posted the complete worldserver-daemon output and connection.log on pastebin.

I have repeated the whole installation process and compiled TC from the latest revision yet again, but the result is the same, so I created an issue on the bug tracker since there are more of us with this bug.

I also posted a 10$ bounty on this issue, so whoever fixes this can have a couple of beers on me (unless it’s that American Budweiser piss water in which case you should buy diapers instead)

I suggest you to Open client and server on the same machine and use localhost ip 127.0.0.1,I always did so and found no logging error.

I have the same problem in Windows 8.1, I can connect and create a character but at 80 % charge the client disconnects .
