Just generally curious as to how playable the branch is right now? Tried TCPP last year and it was pretty much unplayable because it didn’t have a ton of support behind it. (Not nearly as much as 3.3.5 does)
What does everyone think?

I can answer my own question. It’s unplayable.
The starting questline for horde breaks on quest 2 of the initial chain.
The being said, you are unlikely to even get to 80 as many core spells like Paladin’s consecration is broken.
Sad, but it makes sense that it didn’t get much support. WotLK will always be the better experience.
TCPP was most likely a “show off” so probably cata_classic it’s same.
What do you mean a “show off?” Like it was only ever intended to prove it was possible?
it was / is like a personal portfolio
Well I think the reality is that such projects live from an active community. You can’t expect a single person to be able to do all the work in their free time.
So another reason for early release might be that they hope other people will join the team and contribute.
Their contribution then was, to get the thing started. Fixing quests requires another skill set, so that totally makes sense to me.
I understand it. I just thought with how popular cata was it would have been in a better state. I was hoping to be able to find somewhat playable server software for each expansion. Either way, I appreciate the efforts of everyone involved and wish I had a better understanding of how to implement quests. If there were more guides available online I feel like way more people would attempt to help out. That in itself is a lot of work though.
