I made a compilation of all problems I found in DK’s starting zone:

Quest problems:

[ul][li]Grand Theft Palomino[/li]Quest can be completed, but with a little glitch. Once returned the horse to NPC, you should be dismounted and horse should be despawned.
Instead, you are not dismounted, and horse is not despawned.
Error: SCRIPT_COMMAND_DESPAWN_SELF (‘spell_scripts’ script id: 52267) target with unsupported high guid (GUID: 17388398641206655183, high guid: 61776).

[li]Bloody Breakout – IN TRAC: Ticket #597[/li]
Script is a bit broken: Koltira starts naked, he equips himself but should NOT be back to normal (naked) at end of the first battle, nor when Valroth is defeated and he helps you to escape.

[li]He should be calling magic barrier until Valroth is dead instead of fighting at your side (naked) after first combat (also related to previous one)[/li]
[li]After defeating Valroth, High Inquisitor Valroth’s Remains should be available to all party members sharing this quest instead of being available only to one of them.[/li]
[/ul]

[li]Massacre at light point – IN TRAC: Ticket #309[/li]
[ul][li]Scourge Gryphon is taking cannon away instead of take yourself. Tested (and not working query suggested in: http://www.trinitycore.org/f/index.php?/topic/1345-massacre-at-lights-point/page__view__findpost__p__9620[/li]
[li]If you are in group doing this quest with someone, and that someone is in the other ship, give kill credits to both (currently it only give kill credit to the one that killed that npcs)[/li]
[li]You are transformed in a horse instead of a mine cart. (Solved by applying patch from Kaelima’s post).FIXED.[/li]
[/ul]

[li]The Plaguebringer’s Request[/li]
Can not be done properly while in group. Quest items should be available for all group members if they are in same phase (and they have that quest too) (from experience in retail). Items are:

[ul][li]Empty Cauldron[/li]
[li]Iron Chain[/li]
[/ul]

[li]Nowhere To Run And Nowhere To Hide[/li]
Quest item New Avalon Registry should be available to party members if doing same quest together. Currently only one can get it, after, it disappears.

[li]The Light of Dawn Ticket #889[/li]
This works well as long as you are there in the correct moment. Example, if you start event by talking to npc, and don’t go with them, you go after, and this is bugged, because event will not start.

The same for finishing the event: If you are nearby but not exactly there (for example, you are inside the church), event will not complete.

This is important, since, event is not back to normal when this happens, and remains bugged until you delete/recreate character (event seems not to be resetted on failure)

Also throws up following errors if event started successfully (since begin to end of quest):

[li]The Path Of The Righteous Crusader[/li]
Quest item New Avalon Patrol Schedule should be available to all party members sharing this quest instead of just by one.

[li]The Battle For The Ebon Hold[/li]
Minor problems: In area you have to do this quest, there are some Knights of the Ebon Blade that should help you to kill required mobs there to complete this quest, instead of doing nothing.

[li]Where Kings Walk (Alliance) or Warchief’s Blessing (Horde)[/li]
Missing all conversation from NPCs as you go in the city (insulting you, throwing to you rotten fruits, spit you…)

Missing conversation of (Thrall or Varyan Wrinn) to accept you in (Alliance or Horde) and forgive you for being a lich king servant.

Also it throws up console errors:


Delete GameObject (GUID: 151828 Entry: 190942) that have references in not found creature 167 GO list. Crash possible later.

Misc problems in whole area:

well to add some more things that is bugged is the quest: Death Comes From On High the creatures (npcs) are not spawned and when you do the spell to summon ghouls they don’t summon and the visual effect is gone when you try to gather the things from the 4 buildings. (the blue beam).

Actually they are spawned just not visible to you but try “landing” where they should stand. You will see they are attacking you. ^^

aha then just a phasing problem. but still then the visual effect for when you try to get the buildings (the blue beam) is an npc in the building if im not wrong.

EDIT: and is ut just me or dose the whole DK zone look all messy? with npc spawns all over the place. (down where the horses are)

Yeah I think it’s somethin with the phasemask. But I don’t think it’s good to mess up those just for some visual effekt ^^.

Did you use gm on? If yes then you see all npc spawns from every Phase.

Death Comes From On High:

  • [*]the eye can sometimes become an eye from ahn’qiraj if you go off the vheicle and back onto it again. (minor)
  • you must go to the place to gather the information about the buildings (medium)
  • the spawns are in a different phase or they aren’t existing where the buildings are.(critical)
  • the blue beam when gathering stuff from the buildings are not there (but the gathering works). (minor)
  • you can go out of the zone (go out to places where you shouldn’t be able to. (critical)

Grand Theft Palomino

You won’t get dissmounted if you turn the horse in. when the death knight comes and says “the realm of shadows awaits…” the horse should die and you should get dissmounted. (i think).

Into the Realm of Shadows

the quest is doable but the guy that should ride the horse dosen’t ride it in the realm of shadow. but the quest works so when you kill the guy beside the horse you can target and mount it.

Death’s Challenge the challenging works but there should be a countdown like in a normal duel. (i think there should will confirm later when i try the dk start on retail).

The Gift That Keeps On Giving the item you throw should have some effect of poison if i remember right other then that this quest works.

Massacre At Light’s Point

  • [*]when you kill the npcs you should get aggro if you miss some and you kill some of them but they don’t.
  • the respawn time of the npcs are too low because you have to wait along time for them to respawn.
  • the gryphone are taking away the cannon and not the player.

How To Win Friends And Influence Enemies you should ask questions when you hit and they should regret etc and if your lucky you will get the credit to complete the quest and not as it is now when you kill like 3-5 then you get them to talk and all your questions comes directly.

Bloody Breakout the spell that should reduce spell damage you take gets removed and also the npcs gear. making this quest imposible to complete because the boss hits too much.

Ambush At The Overlook if you are facing out at the cliff the npc spawns outside the cliff and walks to you.

The Scarlet Onslaught Emerges when you hand this quest in the quest giver talks about darkmoon fair instead of what he should say.

The Light of Dawn

  • [*]the npcs are falling through the ground and flying in the air during the whole fight.
  • some of the npcs are naked (dont think thats how it is in retail).
  • when you go inside the churche the fight gets bugged and won’t end. and even when the enemy gets killed they are still bugged. and you can’t restart the fight.
  • even if you do .quest complete on the quest you can’t turn the quest in.

Where Kings Walk & Warchief’s Blessing the npcs should throw fruits at you and when you get to the chief or the king they should be friendly but the only part that dosen’t work is the fruit part and what they are saying to you.

NPC Bugs:

Scourge Commander Thalanor should be mounted on a scourge gryphone (i think it is spelled like that dunno).

Salanar the Horseman offers to get you into the realm of shadows even thought you haven’t got that quest yet.

the option is still there when you have turned in the quest.

Havenshire Stallion some of the horses are getting attacked by the guards in the zone.

Death Knight Initiate

  • [*]some of them are down at the field where the enemy are. dont know if they should but i think so. and if they should i think they are going to attack the enemy and not just walk around like they are friends.
  • the flying Death Knight Initiate is jump flying when they move.

the spirit healer (the one that comes for you if you die) dosen’t appear more then once i don’t think this is intended.

Scarlet Miner is not going to the ships as in retail (as i can remember when i played in the zone). they should go to the ship with the minecarts.

Scarlet Commander

  • [*]are aggroing but they stay on a long range and dosen’t come to you and attack they just stay there at long range and if you move they move but still staing at long range.
  • they should also follow the paths with waypoints and not just go random.

means the escort reset itself because you where to far away or for another reason

There should be another reason, because I was there fighting with them every time.

well i couldn’t test that but alot of the quests are working but its mostly problems with the phasing and events.

Death Comes From On High: There were no mobs attacking or to attack.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving: When I threw the device at the miners, it spawned 100’s of the ghost like creatures, and the ghouls were spawning by the 100’s as well, and not counting towards fulfilling the objective.
