To Install it:

mv Core/Configuration/Configuration.php.in mv Core/Configuration/Configuration.php
chmod 755 -R CacheTo Update it:
git pullBut since you’ve already have the Core (probably downloaded zip??), delete it, and run the installation and update commands
If you using windows, just install Github for Windows, (https://windows.github.com), Press Clone in Windows on repo page and clone it to directory you want it to install, after that, just check daily on repo tab in github on windows by pressing Sync button on top of the repo page for new updates. If there are, they will be installed automatically

Just reinstall core from git, it should work fine for you, since its working fine for other 20 people.
After you will reinstall it from git, open up website, it should take 1-5 minutes (depends on your HDD/SSD speed) to verify all files, and site will work like it should.
I dont know your version, but in recent commits there was a change, which if not applied, may cause that type of behaviour
And please, clear Cache folder after each update (no need to do it if updated from git)
